Or in other words: “Ending sewage dumping will mean higher water bills” – says report.
I suppose that it’s now apparent that the last late Tory government’s policy of selling off the family silver hasn’t been a success.
Mistakes are one thing, we all make mistakes.
But a problem, if left to compound becomes a disaster. And we can only look at 20-30 years of shareholder dividends compounding and the infrastructure is being milked for all it’s worth.
The same can be said for just about anything that the Tories touch – old or new. Railways, disaster. Royal mail, disaster.
The very sad thing is that the billions required to develop the water system will be paid for by consumers through higher bills. These companies are too big to fail, or at least too poor to do anything.
Thanks, GFF.
The news is not funny … But I want to note for comparison that in the post-Soviet countries this has always been the case)) unfortunately, until recently in Ukraine everything was decided this way. All costs are simply passed on to consumers …

It’s the decades of money being diverted away from the water infrastructure and into corporate profits that annoys me.
